Brampton is introducing two new wines!
We’re proud to officially announce that we’ve released not one, but two new, show stopping wines. Introducing Brampton’s own light, bright Pinot Grigio and silky, seductive Cinsault. The perfect pair to round off our already impressive selection (if we say so ourselves).
In true Brampton style, these wines celebrate colourful thinking, doing, seeing, tasting, and living. Not only are these fabulous wines enjoyable in South Africa, they are intentional trendsetters – both are globally inspired and enjoyed equally around the world. The Cinsault is French inspired but produced locally and the Pinot Grigio is 100% Italiano and imported.
The Pinot Grigio (PEE-no-GREE-jo)
Ah, la dolce vita… you can almost taste the Italian good life in each sip of this easy drinking, bright wine.
Fruity and fresh, enjoy peach citrus and succulent pineapple of this pale gold nectar. Perfect for pairing with light pastas, antipasto, fish, seafood or a selection of charcuterie. Or, as a lovely pairing with a sunny afternoon, all on its own.
How to distinguish a Pinot Grigio of superior quality? Take a look at the label! Italian wines are classified into different categories to help you identify the quality of the wine and its origins. Our Pinot Grigio has the label: Denominazione di Origine Controllata – Designation of Controlled Origin. This certifies that under the law, it has distinctive features of superior quality, determined by the grape varietal and the production area as well as the techniques for processing and ageing. In other words, you can rest assured that it is high quality wine.
Fun fact: most people think that Pinot Grigio originated in Italy, but actually this crisp, bright wine originally hails from Burgundy in France. We’re not complaining, the French know a thing or two about wine.
The Cinsault (SAN-soh)
Speaking of the French, they are to thank for our second offering: the oh-so-french, silky smooth Cinsault. This time around, we take you to Paris in the springtime, la vie en rose in full bloom. Look out for juicy flavours of cranberry, fresh red cherries, and red wine gums.
Medium to full bodied, crafted in the heart of the Cape Winelands by our dynamic team of wine creatives, this raspberry red wine looks as good as it tastes. It is unwooded and requires no oak or barrel ageing in order to preserve the natural red fruit flavours. It can be enjoyed right away, or within 3 years of the vintage with burgers, chips, cheese, pasta, pizza… Or just about any lighter snack or dish.
Fun fact: Chill this light red wine for optimal enjoyment!
Finally, in true Brampton style, we’ve put together a few tracks for you to listen to while enjoying your vino: (link to shop)
Now, the only question remaining is, which will you try first? Order the Pinot Grigio and Cinsault from our site, or visit our Wine Studio in the vibey town of Stellenbosch for an immersive tasting experience.
